White Swan, Washington

The town of White Swan was hit by high winds and fire on February 12th. A total of 19 homes were burned to the ground. Fortunately, the Wilber Memorial United Methodist Church was not damaged.
The Conference Disaster Reponse Coordinator and the UMVIM Disaster Coordinator visited Pastor Derel Olson at the United Methodist Church on Tuesday. They offered volunteer teams, UMCOR financial assistance, and other assistance.

Pastor Derel requested Donations Management help with all of the donated clothing that was filling the reception hall. Adventist Community Services (ACS) came in the same day as the request and began organizing the donated clothing stacked in the Church.
Additional clothing is not needed at this time. What is needed are financial donations.

Financial donations may be sent to: White Swan Disaster Fund,
United Methodist Church, PNW Conference, P/O Box 13650, Des Moines, WA 98198.
